Graveside
services for Ben Dennis, of, of Notus, who died Thursday, July
25, at his home of natural causes, will be conducted at l0:30
a.m. Tuesday at the Lower Boise Cemetery, Parma.
The Rev. Robert Ogden of the Church of the Nazarene,
Notus, will officiate, under the direction of the Flahiff
Funeral Chapel of Caldwell.
He was born Aug. 15, 1927, at Hominy, Okla., a son of
Charles R. and Flossie Falkenberry Dennis. He was reared and
educated in Oklahoma, and in 1949, moved with his family to
Notus. On Dec. 26, 1951, he married Luwana Pickering at
Salome, Ariz. The couple made their home in Notus, where they
have since resided. He had worked for the J.R. Simplot Company
Fertilizing Station, Caldwell, and Harry Klahr Farms and Ray
Sebree for 22 years. He owned and operated the Ben Dennis
Trucking Company for two and one-half years. He was a member
of the Caldwell Eagles Lodge 3691. He enjoyed fishing and
hunting.
He is survived by his wife of Notus; a son, Michael Ray
Dennis of Caldwell; two daughters, Connie Lou Uriguen of Notus
and Katherine Jean Montieth of Middleton; his mother, of
Notus; seven brothers, Jack of Melrose, Mont., Tob, Don and
Larry, all of Notus, Tom of Fallon, Nev., Bill of Parma and
Odell of Caldwell; eight grandchildren and numerous nieces and
nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, an infant sister,
and a granddaughter.
