Betty Allen

     Funeral services for Mrs. Betty J. Allen, of Nampa, who died Wednesday, November 2, 1994, at her home, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, November 4, 1994, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Rev. Lowell Byall of the Nampa First United Presbyterian Church will officiate.  Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
     Betty Jean Allen was born on December, 29, 1918, in Pittsburgh, Kansas to Eddy and Verna Nail.  She was reared and educated in Kansas.  She married John "Jack" Allen on January 7, 1943, in Denver, Colorado.  They moved to Nampa in 1946, where she completed her master's degree in elementary education at the College of Idaho.  She worked for the Nampa School District for 30 years.  Mr. Allen died on March 4, 1987.
     She was a member of the Nampa First United Presbyterian Church.
     She is survived by a daughter, and son-in-law, Pam and Emil Traenkner of Boise; a son and daughter0in-law, Greg and Brenda Allen of Nampa; three sisters, Helen Hildebrand of Missouri and Lona Bower and Lula Stapp, both of Kansas; a granddaughter; and two grandsons.
     Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
     Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today until 9 p.m.
