Services for Clarence
C. Bowman, 66, of 1311 Holly Street, Nampa, who died Sunday,
Jan. 23, at his home, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at
the College Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Clarence J.
Kinzler, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow in
the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Services under the
direction of Alsip Funeral Chapel.
He was born Sept. 17, 1916, at Yuma Pine, Ore. He
was reared and educated at Pomeroy, Wash. He received a
degree from Southern Oregon State College in Ashland, Ore.,
and graduated with a bachelor of arts and theology degree from
Northwest Nazarene College. Following graduation he
taught school for a few years. He married Alzora Rose on
Dec. 30, 1945, at Buhl, Idaho.
Following their marriage they lived in Idaho and Oregon
before moving to Nevada. In 1953 he went to work for the
Southern Pacific Railroad in Nevada and worked as a
telegraphic station agent until his disability retirement in
March of 1976, at which time he and his wife moved to Nampa to
make their home. He was a member of the college Church
of the Nazarene and the Railroad Telegraphers Union.
He is survived by his wife, of Nampa; one son, Leonard
Rose, Winnemucca, Nev.; his mother, Mrs. Clara Bowman, Nampa;
two brothers, Kenneth Bowman, Seattle, Wash., and Dr. Ercil R.
Bowman, Nampa; two sisters, Lois Spicer and Lola Nance, both
of Portland, Ore.; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ercil R. Bowman
Sr.
