Christena Belmer

    Graveside services for Christena M. Belmer, 93, of Nampa, who died Saturday, Feb. 26, 1994, at a Nampa care center, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 3, 1993, at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Nampa..  Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Christena Marie Belmer was born on March 15, 1900, in Tilden, Nebraska, to Otto and Mary Hopkins Johnson.  She was reared and educated in Nebraska.  She married Edward Belmer in 1917 in Neligh, Nebraska, where they lived and she worked as a homemaker.
    She moved to Los Angeles, CA, in 1940 where she owned and operated a cleaning service for offices.  She moved to Nampa in 1975 where she has since resided.
    She is survived by two sons, Edward Belmer of Omaha, Neb., and Donald E. Belmer of Buellton, CA; a daughter, LaVonne Young of North Hollywood, CA; four grandsons, Don Belmer, Mike Belmer, Ed Belmer, Jr., and Rick Belmer; nine granddaughters, Millie Bollan, Kath Sutton, Karen Hetrick, Margaret Mary Fennell, Sharon Anglin, Chris Belmer, Suzette Henneberry, Charlotte McClellan and Shirly Bertelsen; several great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
    She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Lloyd Belmer; a daughter-in-law, Marge Belmer; and a friend and companion, Red Haller.
    Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today until 9 p.m. and on Thursday from 8 a.m. to noon.
