Cecil Raymond Coonts, 77, of Wilder, died Monday, June 3,
1991, near Parma, of natural causes. Funeral services
will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 6, at the Dakan
Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. The Rev. Sam Hendrix of Golden
Gate Baptist Church, Wilder, will officiate with burial
following in the Wilder Cemetery, Wilder.
Mr. Coonts was born April 20, 1914, at Drury, Mo., the
son of Arthur and Amzalee Moore Coonts. He worked for
Pacific Fruit Express from 1952 until he retired in 1976.
He was an avid fisherman.
Survivors include his children, Gretchen Luna, Larry
Coonts, and Twila Coonts; five sisters, Edwina Schrock of Ava,
Mo., Vernice De Hauen and Lavern Brown, both of Sedalia, Mo.,
Betty Critten of James port, Mo., and Peggy Bell of Ava; five
brothers, Paul Coonts of Wilder, Russell Coonts of
Springfield, Neb., Junior Coonts of Buffalo, Iowa, James
Coonts of Norwood, Mo.; three grandchildren; and a
great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by a brother, an infant sister
and a granddaughter, Rhonda Kay.
Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Dakan
Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. |
