Services for Cyrus W.
Bishop, 67, of Caldwell, who died Sunday, Nov. 2, at the
Caldwell hospital will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the
Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
The Rev. Raymond Thompson of the United Methodist
Church, Caldwell, will officiate. Burial will follow at
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Mr. Bishop was born March 10, 1919, at Mount Clair,
Neb., to Walte and Mildred Parkinson Bishop. He moved at
the age of 3 with his family to southern California, where
they lived for 13 years before moving to Osage City, Kan.
In the fall of 1935, they moved to Idaho, where he farmed with
this father in the Arena Valley community near Parma. In
1937, they moved to the Big Bend area, where they raised
cattle and farmed.
He married Alys Ulmer Oct. 6, 1943, at Caldwell.
In 1947 they moved to a ranch on Succor Creek, where they
lived for 13 years. They moved in 1959 to the Caldwell
area, where he had continued to farm and ranch.
He is survived by his wife of Caldwell; a son and
daughter-in-law, Wayne and Teri Bishop of Caldwell; a
daughter, Bonnie Job of Lake Fork, Idaho; and four

Friends may call today until 8 p.m. and Wednesday from
8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Caldwell Flahiff chapel.
