Funeral services for C.W.
“Nig” Eastman, 82, of Nampa, who died Wednesday, Aug. 29,
1990, at a Nampa care center, will be conducted at 3 p.m.
Saturday, Sept. 1, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel with Dr. John
E. Riley, chaplain of the Nampa Lions Club, officiating.
Burial with graveside rites by the Nampa Elks Lodge No. 1389
will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens,
Caldwell.
Mr. Eastman was born Dec. 10, 1907, at Jenkins, Mo., to
John F. and Lily Eastman. In 1918 he moved with his family to
Nampa where he was reared and graduated from high school in
1928. He married Evelyn Sparr in 1930 at Nampa where they
made their home. Nig was an independent insurance agent in
Nampa for more than 30 years, having retired in 1980. He was
a very active member of the Nampa Lions Club, a member of the
Broadmore Country Club and a lifetime member of the Nampa Elks
Lodge 1389.
Nig is survived by his wife, Evelyn Eastman, Nampa; two
sons and a daughter-in-law, Duane Eastman, Caldwell, and Tom
and Sue Eastman, Spokane, Wash.; a brother and sister-in-law,
Joe and Dorothy Eastman, Nampa; two sisters and a
brother-in-law, Thelma Webb, Upland, Calif., and Velma and O.A.
Martineau, Nampa; a sister-in-law, Pauline Sparr, Nampa; two
grandsons, Matthew and Trevor Eastman, Spokane; several nieces
and nephews; and a very close friend of the family, Mary Ann
Swan, Nampa.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel on Friday
from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. |
