Charles Davis

      Services for Charles M. Davis, 73, of 2903 George Street, Nampa, who died Sunday, April 8, in a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
      The Rev. Don Hanna of the Nampa First United Methodist Church will officiate.  Private family committal services will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
      Mr. Davis was born Nov. 26, 1910, in Martinsville, Ill., to Jesse W. Jessie and Mae Morris Davis.  He was reared and attended school in Illinois.  He worked there for a local phone company for a time.  He married Marion Virginia Barrett April 24, 1935, in Robinson, Ill., and they made their home in Oklahoma and in Texas where he was an oil field worker.
      He entered the U.S. Army in 1943, serving until the end of World War II when he returned to the oil fields.  In 1949, they moved back to Anapolis, Ill., where they farmed until he retired in 1962.  They moved to Nampa in 1978.
      He attended the Methodist Church and was a member of the Joseph Murray Post No. 18, American Legion, Nampa.
      He is survived by his wife of Nampa; one son, Morris Wayne Davis, Mountain Home; one daughter, Myrna K. Schwarz, Nampa; and six grandchildren.
      His parents, one brother, and one nephew preceded him in death.
      Friends may call at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa until 9 p.m. today and Wednesday from 9 a.m. Until time of services.
