Services for Corliss Constable, 73, Nampa, who died
Tuesday, Aug. 13, will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Flahiff
Funeral Chapel in Nampa by the Rev. Joseph Housh, Nampa First
United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Hillcrest
Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
He was born May 5, 1912, at Norwalk, Iowa, a son of
Oliver P. and Effie Grace Wynkoop Constable. He moved with
his parents to a farm near Penora, Iowa. He married Mildred
Trent Feb. 14, 1929, at Redfield, Iowa, and worked as a welder
throughout the southern states during World War II.
The family moved in 1946 to Idaho, where he operated
heavy equipment for A.H. and Clarence Bruck. He worked at the
Caldwell Sears store for 15 years as a service manager and as
Canyon county building supervisor for 11 years prior to
retirement. Since 1982, he had worked at a senior citizen
park near Donnelly and Cascade. He served as president of
this organization from 1984 until his death.
He is survived by his wife, Peg, of Nampa; two
daughters, Phyllis Nadine Van Hees,
Okanogan,
Wash., and Corlene K. Crane of Salem, Ore.; a daughter-in-law,
Jeanette Constable of
Spokane,
Wash.; 10 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one son,
Robert Constable of Spokane, who died in March 1985.
Memorials may be made to the Hospice Service in care of
Mercy Medical Center, Nampa, or to the first United Methodist
Church, or flowers may be sent. |
