Darrel
Bruce Chandler, 60, of Nampa, died on Sunday, April 6, 1997,
at a Nampa retirement center following a courageous battle
with cancer. Graveside services will be conducted at 2
p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 1997, at the Hillcrest Memorial
Gardens, Caldwell. Pastor Roy Litsey of the Bethel
Church of the Nazarene in Nampa will officiate. Friends
and family are asked to meet at the cemetery. Services
are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
Darrel Bruce Chandler was born on August 20, 1936, in
Imperial, Nebraska. In 1947 he and his family moved to
Enumclaw, WA, where he was reared and educated. In 1954
he moved to Nampa and married Jean Peterson. To this
union three children were born; a son, Tony and two daughters,
Linda and Sherri. On June 29, 1973, he was united in
marriage to Anna Spence Colson in Lewiston, ID, his living
wife of 23 years. Darrel loved working outdoors and was
a n avid hunter and fisherman. He was loving husband,
father and will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Darrel is survived by his wife, Anna Chandler, Nap; his
mother, Kathryn Chandler, Nampa; his sons, Tony
chandler, Caldwell; his daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and
Steve Miyake, Nampa, and Sherri and Bill Ballard, Caldwell;
his brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Irene Chandler, and
his sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Paul Brannam, both of
Nampa; two stepchildren, Steve Colson, Nampa and Debbie Jones
and her friend, Don Larson, Pocatello; 9 grandchildren and 1
great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce Hugh
Chandler. |
