Dorothy Engbretson

     Dorothy Engbretson, 87, of Boise died on Sept. 27, 1995 in a Boise care center. Graveside memorial services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, 1995, at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Rev. Marvin Green and Rev. Peter Furno will officiate. Services are under the direction of Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
     Dorothy was born November 6, 1907 in Nome, Alaska to William S. and Estelle Mabe Renney. At the age of 10 she moved with her family to Washington and then graduated from high school at Berkeley
, California. She married Roy E. Engbretson on Dec. 4, 1928 at Vancouver, Wash., and they made their home in Astoria. In 1942 they moved to Clatskanie, Oregon where Roy farmed until 1963 when they moved to Nampa.
     She is survived by a son, Ronald Engbretson of Peterson, Wash.; a daughter, Carol Hoke of Boise; a brother, Clinton Renney of Tucson, Ariz.; 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.
