Services for Dora H.
Anderson, 89, of Parma, who died Monday, Sept. 30, at her home
of natural causes, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Dakan
Funeral Chapel of Parma. Her grandsons, the Rev. Gary
Worthington and Butch Mazza will officiate. Interment
will follow in the Parma Cemetery.
Mrs. Anderson was born July 21, 1896, at Racine, Wis.,
the daughter of Edwin and Lena Hay. Her parents died
while she was a child and she was adopted and raised by George
and Floy Goracke in Phillips County in Kansas. She
married Barton Lane Anderson on Nov. 10, 1920, at
Phillipsburg, Kan. They lived in western Nebraska and
later in Kansas before moving to Parma in December of 1949.
They had lived in the Parma area since that time. They
retired in 1961. Mr. Anderson died in December of 1983.
She was a member of the Parma Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by one son, Mark Anderson of Fraser,
British Columbia, Canada; two daughters, Mary Worthington of
Benson, Aria., and Muriel Martin of Parma; 17 grandchildren
and 30 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a son, Jesse, three
grandchildren, five brothers and three sisters.
Friends may call at the chapel in Parma today from 4
p.m. to 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Gideon's in
care of the Dakan Funeral Chapel, P.O. Box 1386, Caldwell,
