CALDWELL - Private graveside services for Emery Alfred Corn,
76, Caldwell Route 3, who died Saturday in a Nampa hospital,
were conducted at 3:30 this afternoon at Middleton Cemetery by
the Rev. Wendell Brandom of the Middleton Baptist Church.
He was born on Oct. 16, 1898, in Pleasant Oak, Mor.,
and came to Idaho with his parents in 1913. They settled
in the Middleton area, where he attended schools. He
farmed in the Marble Front community and married Gladys Vassar
on Jan. 7, 1921, in Nampa. They lived in Meridian for
several years and then returned to the Marble Front community,
where they had since resided.
He was a member of the Middleton Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife three daughters, Lucille Lepel,
Caldwell, June Burke Fremont, Calif., and Retta Jean Burton,
Williamsburg, Va.; a son, Larry Corn, Caldwell; two brothers,
Raymond, Nampa, and Everett Corn, Caldwell; 11 grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren.
