Elizabeth
"Betty" Drum, 71, of Nampa, died March 10, 1991, of cancer
while spending the winter with her husband in Mesa, Ariz.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, March 15,
at Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa. The Rev. Joseph Newcomer
of Nampa First Congregational Church will officiate.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Mrs. Drum was born Oct. 5, 1919, at Tilden, Neb. She
had lived in Nampa since 1946. She was co-owner of
Drum's Vista Liner Sales and service on Karcher Boulevard for
many years and had been a medical secretary in a local
doctor's office. Betty was a life member of the Nampa
Chapter of TOPS and attended the First Congregational Church.
She worked as a volunteer at Yuma Regional Hospital and
Caldwell Memorial Hospital for several years. She was a
charter number of the Nampa Waltz Club and the Boots and Bows
square dance club.
Mrs. Drum is survived by her husband of 53 years, Charles Guy
Drum; two sisters, Donna Huff of Anchorage, Alaska, and Unalee
Cloud of Molalla, Ore.; three nephews, Richard Huff of
Anchorage, Steven Cloud of Salem, Ore., and Ronald Cloud of
Medford, Ore.; two nieces, Judi Coninger of Ripley, Tenn., and
Debra Mulke of Rockaway, Ore.; four grandnephews; and three
grandnieces.
Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel today until 9
p.m.; Thursday from 9 a.m. to 0 p.m.; and Friday from 9 a.m.
until noon. |
