Eldo Betcke

    Services for Eldo C. Betcke, 75, Nampa, who died Saturday, Oct. 20, at a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
    Rev. Walter Trumbo, pastor of the Nampa First Assembly of God Church will officiate, assisted by Rev. Lorin Short.  Interment will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    Mr. Betcke was born on March 23, 1909 to William and Mary Betcke at Emerson, Neb.  He was reared and educated in Nebraska.  After his schooling, he started farming with his father.  He married Joyce Adele Rockwell on March 8, 1939 in Nebraska and they lived on a farm at Emerson, Neb.
    In 1947 they moved to Silverton, Ore., where he started working for the U.S. Department of Agriculture.  In 1952, they moved to Hazelton and in 1961 they moved to Nampa where he continued to work for the Department of Agriculture.  He retired in 1972 and they made their home in Nampa.  Mrs. Betcke died on Sept. 27, 1981.
    He married Violet M. Drake on Oct. 2, 1982 in Nampa where they have since resided.
    Mr. Betcke was a member of the Nampa First Assembly of God Church.
    He is survived by his wife, Violet, of Nampa; two daughters, Janet Rodriquez, Denver, Colo., and Cheryl Nace, Boise; one step-daughter, Mrs. Dwayne (Sherry) Exley, Nampa; one brother, Walter Betcke, Omaha, Neb., and six grandchildren.
    Besides his first wife, he was preceded in death by one brother, Joe.
    The family suggests memorial contributions to the Nampa First Assembly of God Church Organ Fund, 304 16th Ave. N., Nampa, 836511, or flowers may be sent..
