Ella D. Stephens

     Services for Mrs. Ella DeLaney Stephens, 83, of Parma, will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the Parma Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel.  The Rev. Wade Wardwell will officiate and interment will be in Parma.
     Mrs. Stephens was born Oct. 4, 1876, in Fayette county, Pa., and moved to Parma in 1907 from Illinois.  She was married to Levi Stephens in 1896 in Cumberland, Md.  He died in Parma in 1940.  They had settled in the Apple Valley school board for many years, and was president of the first PTA organizations.  Mrs. Stephens was a member of the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian church.
     Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Reed, Mrs. Martha Porterfield, Santa Cruz, Calif., and Mrs. Alene Meltveldt, Boise; two sons, Halton of Beaverton, Ore., and Ralph Stephens, Seattle, 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
