Elizabeth Balcom

     Graveside services for Elizabeth Godfrey Balsom, 75, Middleton, who died Thursday, Sept. 12, at a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the Middleton Cemetery.  The Rev. Dave Lewis of the First Baptist Church, Middleton, will officiate under the direction of the Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
     Friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.
     Mrs. Balcom was born Nov. 29, 1909, in Boise, a daughter of Joseph H. and Gertrude F. Kincaid Godfrey.  She was reared by her grandparents, Robert S. and Mary Kincaid in Middleton and graduated from Middleton High School in 1928.  As a young woman she worked for the telephone company in
Caldwell and was married to Dick McClure.  They resided in the Caldwell area most of their married life.  She later married Harry Balcom in Boise where the couple resided until his death in 1972.  She has lived in Middleton since 1974.
     She was a member of the First Christian Church, Boise.

     She is survived by a stepson, Dicky McClure of Medford, Ore.; a stepdaughter, Patty Stillwagon of Yakima, Wash.; A brother, William Henry Godfrey of Huntington, Ore.; three sisters, Ruth G. Tucker and Sophia G. Hunt, both of Portland, Ore., and Blanche G. McCulloch of Caldwell; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
