Ethel M. Cooper, 60, of Middleton, and formerly of Boise, died
Saturday, April 13, 1991, at home of natural causes.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday,
April 17, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Richard
Sutton of the Church of Christ of Caldwell will officiate.
Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Ethel was born March 4, 1931, at Belfry, Mont., a
daughter of Don and Elizabeth Wolfe Leeper. The family
moved to Idaho in the late 1930s. She was educated in
the Caldwell area. She married Lyle W. Cooper Jan. 23,
1948, at Boise. In 1949 they moved to Glenwood, Iowa,
where the newly-formed family quickly grew to three children.
Homesick for Idaho, they moved back to the Idaho area,
and settled at Caldwell in 1954. During the next several
years, Ethel helped out with her husband's carpet business.
During this time she was very active in her children's
education, helping out as a home room mother, and a den mother
for the Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and Brownies.
Ethel was a devoted mother, wife and friend. Her
life was her family. The gift of her friendship will be
missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Lyle; a son
and daughter-in-law, Gary and Lynne Cooper of Boise; a
daughter, Kathryn Cooper Wilcox of Boise; two sons, Randy and
Larry Cooper, both of Middleton; her father, Don Leeper of
Middleton; a brother, Tony Wolfe; and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Elizabeth
Leeper; and a son, Stephen G. Cooper.
The family suggests that memorials may be made to the
Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, 8200 N.E. Sandy
Blvd., Portland, Ore. 97220.
Friends may call Tuesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and
