Evalena M. Drew
In Wilder Residence
Evalena May Drew of Wilder died at the home of
her daughter, Mrs. Ray Pedan, here this morning.
Mrs. Drew was born Oct. 16, 1872, in West Grove, Ia.
She was married at Ogden, Utah, Oct. 18, 1893, to Charles
Drew. The two came to Wilder to homestead from Salt Lake
City in 1908 and lived on the homestead until Drew's death in
1946. Since then, Mrs. Drew has lived with her daughter.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Pedan of Wilder and
Mrs. George Gittens of Los Angeles; a son Charles Basil
of Wilder; two brothers, Paul K. Smith of Preston, Idaho, and
D. D. Smith of Ogden.
The remains are at the Peckham-Dakan chapel in Caldwell
where arrangements are being made.
