MELBA - Services for Eva Coleman, 91, Melba, who died Friday
in a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday in
Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa, by Bishop Conrad G. Zeyer of
Melba Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Interment will follow in Melba Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 17, 1889, in Nocona, Texas, to J.B.
and Miley Ataway Skeen. At age 14, she moved with her
family to Chester. They later moved to the Victory
community near Meridian. She married Jim Coleman on Dec.
25, 1910, in Meridian. In 1915, they moved to Melba
valley, taking up government land under the Boise Project
Control, and farmed. He died in 1965. She later
moved to Melba.
Survivors include a son, Lloyd of Melba; a daughter,
Ella Malmberg of Marsing; six grandchildren; 13
great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and several
nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two
sons, four brothers and two sisters.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart
Association.
Pallbearers will be Robert, Robie, Larry and Gary
Malmberg, and James and Lynn Coleman. |
