Homedale Man
Dies From Gun-
Shot Wound


     A gunshot wound was reported today as the cause of death of Ernest William Gensler, 32 year old Homedale garage operator.  The wound was reported to have been self-inflicted.
     Homedale sources said that Gensler returned home from work about midnight and was in the living room alone when the accident occurred.  A note in which he said goodbye to his wife and friends was found near the body.
     Born February 16, 1910 at New Underwood, S. D., Gensler had been employed as an operator and deliveryman for the Westcott Oil Co., in Homedale and Marsing.
     Survivors besides his wife, Mildred, who is employed as a postal clerk at the Homedale post office are his parents.  Mr. and Mrs. Ernest William Gensler Sr.; two brothers, Clarence and Elmer Gensler, all of Homedale; a brother, Oscar Gensler of Enning, S. D.; and a sister, Mrs. Dewey Hudelson of Hermiston, Ore.
     The body is at the Peckham chapel in Caldwell where funeral arrangements are pending work from relatives.
