E. Effie Eldora Corder, 73, of Nampa, who died Saturday, Jan.
18, 1997, at her home. Memorial services will be
conducted at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 23, 1997, at the Nampa
Church of the Brethren. Rev. Jim Hardenbrook, pastor of
the church will officiate. Private burial will precede
the services in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Services are under the direction of the Alsip Funeral Chapel,
Nampa.
Eldora was born on April 30, 1923, in the Greenhurst
community of Nampa, ID. She worked for a short time for
Stanford Variety Store. She married Burton "Bud" Corder
on October 29, 1946, in Nampa. She worked in the school
lunch program for a while in the mid '60s but mainly worked as
a homemaker her entire married life. Mr. Corder preceded
her in death in 1003.
She was a very active member of the Church of the
Brethren. She served as a girl scout leader and was an
accomplished seamstress and craftmaker.
She is survived by: a son and daughter-in-law, Loren
"Zeke" and Charlene Corder of Melba; a daughter, Linda Corder
of McCall; two sisters, Dorothy Atkinson of Salt Lake City and
Juanita Humiston of Nampa; two brothers, Dick Crill of Nampa
and Gary Crill of Priest River, ID; and three grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her
parents, a brother and a grandson.
