Graveside
services for Flossie E. Dennis, 89, of Caldwell, who died
Sunday, March 24,1991, at a Caldwell nursing home, will be
conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 27, at the Lower Boise
Cemetery near Parma, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral
Chapel, Caldwell. Family and friends are asked to meet at the
cemetery.
Mrs. Dennis was born July 28, 1901, at Yellville, Ark, a
daughter of James and Julie Smith Falkenberry. She was reared
and educated in Arkansas. She married Charlie Dennis in April
1922. The family moved to the Greenleaf- Notus area in 1948.
Charlie, Flossie's husband of 47 years, died in August 1969.
She lived in Notus until moving to a Caldwell nursing home two
weeks prior to her death.
She is survived by six sons and daughters-in-law, James
and LaVerne of Caldwell, Don and Beth of Notus, Tom and Louis
of Fallon, Nev., Bill and Judy of Ontario, Ore., Larry and
Lucille of Vancouver, Wash., and Odell and Cathy of Caldwell;
a daughter-in-law, Donna Dennis of Melrose, Mont.; a brother,
Arnie Falkenberry and a sister Ola Burrow, both of Yellville;
36 grandchildren; 54 great grandchildren; seven
great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, three sons,
Jack and Ben and an infant son; four grandchildren; and a
great-granddaughter.
Friends may call Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 .m. at the
Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. |
