Gaylord Bivens

    Gaylord C. Bivens, 86, of Nampa, died Monday Feb. 26, 1990, at a Nampa care center.
    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 2, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Mr. Bivens was born Oct. 15, 1903, at Fairmont, Neb., where he was reared and educated.  He married Helen L. Everts Jan 17, 1925, at Mankato, Kan.  He and his wife just celebrated 65 years of marriage.  Following their marriage they made their home at Fairmont, Neb., where they  farmed.  They later moved to California and then to Oregon.  In 1946 they moved to Idaho and farmed in the Kuna area.  In 1956 they moved to Mountain Home where they owned and operated a trailer court and restaurant.  They later moved to Arizona where they lived for eight years.  They had made their home in Nampa for the past 17 years.
    He was a member of the Highline Grange.
    Survivors include his wife, Helen Bivens of Nampa; a daughter, Bettie Milliken of Fairbanks, Alaska; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Nancy Bivens of Boise; 10 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
    He was preceded in death by a son, Bobbie, his parents, a brother and a sister.
