NAMPA - Funeral services for Mrs. Gertrude E. Decker, 78, of
207 6th Ave. S., Nampa, who died Saturday at a Nampa hospital.
will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Alsip Funeral
Chapel. Nampa, with Rev. Lorin W. Short, pastor of the Nampa
First Assembly of God Church, officiating. Interment will
follow in the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Decker was born June 11, 1898 at Valley, Neb. She moved
with her parents to Waterloo, Neb., where she was reared and
attended schools. She was married to Harry Decker Dec.
24,1919, at Freemont, Neb. They farmed in Elk City, Neb. Until
1944, when they moved to Nampa. They had resided in the Nampa
area since. Mrs. Decker was a member of. the Nampa First
Assembly of God Church.
Mrs. Decker is survived by her husband of Nampa, two
daughters, Mrs. Agnes Purcell, Nampa; Mrs. Ruth Russell,
Spokane. Wa.; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Samson, Nampa: Mrs.
Ida Baker, Marysville, Calif.; Mrs. Maude Headley, Los
Angeles, Calif.; a son-in-law, Claude Russell, Spokane; five
grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister. |
