Geneva Casey

     Geneva (Neva) Casey, 85, of Nampa, died Wednesday, Aug. 25, 1993, at a Nampa Hospital.  Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 30, 1993, at Persons-Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  President Roger Kotter of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be the officiant.  Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
     Neva was born May 27, 1908, at Chester, Idaho, a daughter of Hyrum and Clara Burkdoll Helm.  She grew up and attended school there.  She married Owen Lovejoy Sept. 5, 1926, at Pocatello where they made their home in Boise, Blackfoot, Salt Lake City, UT, and Winnemucca, NV, until moving to Nampa in 1943.  Mr. Casey died Feb. 13, 1984.
     She was a member of the Nampa Eighth Ward and a past member of the Nampa Rod and Gun Club.
     Survivors include her daughter, Verlene Lovejoy Alexander of Nampa; a stepson, Thomas Casey of Butte, MT; a sister, Fay Baker of Pocatello; two granddaughters, Sherrie Alexander Bingham of Mead, WA, and Lisa Alexander Grigg of Oxnard, CA; a great-grandson, Daniel Lee Grigg of Oxnard; a niece, Nina Rodrigues of San Francisco; and a very dear friend, Lula Machos of Nampa.
     She was also preceded in death by her parents, a half-brother, Thomas Wayne Helm; a a half-sister, Geraldine Shiers; a son-in-law, Charles Alexander; and a brother-in-law, Ernie Baker.
