Mrs. Georgia Helen
Gerhauser, 71, of Middleton, died Thursday at her home.
She was born Feb. 3,1887, at Middleton, Idaho, and was
the daughter of the pioneer Foote family. She attended
schools at Middleton and Caldwell and attended preparatory
school at the College of Idaho and graduated from the Lewiston
Normal School and taught school at Falk's Store, near Emmett,
in the Payette Valley, at Moscow, Caldwell and Middleton.
She was married to Charles Gerhauser on June 1, 1917 at
Middleton.
She was a member of the Church of God.
Survivors in addition to her husband include three
sons, John Gerhauser, of South Bend, Ind.; Howard
Gerhauser, Boise and Walter Gerhauser of Caldwell; a
daughter, Mrs. Marion Blackburn of Middleton; a brother,
Sam Foote, Middleton and a sister, Mrs. Everett Corn of
Caldwell and 12 grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the
Peckham-Dakan-Davis Chapel in Caldwell. Rev. James
Pallen of Middleton will officiate. Interment will be at
the Middleton cemetery.
Memorials may be given to the Middleton Church of God. |
