Henry 'Arkie' Cook

      Memorial services for Henry ‘Arkie’ Cook, 75, of Nampa Route 3, who died Wednesday, Dec. 1, at a Nampa hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa, by Bishop Leon Blacker, Nampa Tenth Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, officiating.  Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
      He was born Dec. 7, 1906, at Austin, Texas, the son of John and Nancy Johnson Cook.  He war reared and educated at
Austin.
      He married Hattie Mae Washington, Nov. 12, 1927, at Wellington, Texas.  They moved to California in 1935 and to Nampa in 1944 where he worked as a carpenter for several local contractors, retiring in 1964.
      Mrs. Cook died Oct. 19, 1963.  He was a member of the Nampa Tenth Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
      He is survived by one son, Darrell Eugene Cook, Nampa; two daughters, Wanda Watson, Marsing, and Dorothy Geeron, Nampa; three brothers, Frank Cook, Pete Cook and Covie Cook, all of Texas; two sisters, Ethel Hewitt and Addie Record, both of Texas; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

      He was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandson.  Friends may call at the chapel today until 9 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of service
