     Herbert Harvey Bromagem, 95, of Nampa, died on Monday, January 27, 2000 at a Nampa retirement center.  Funeral Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, January 27, 2000 at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.  Pastor Doug Wilson of the Bethel Church of the Nazarene will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
     Herbert H. Bromagem was born on Nov. 25, 1904 in Gas City, Kansas.  He was reared and educated in Kansas and Oklahoma.  He ranched in Montana and later in Idaho.  He married Ocie M. Hughes on Oct. 15, 1947 in Nampa where they have since made their home.  Herbert was employed at the Union Pacific Fruit Express Shops in Nampa until he retired in 1971.
     The love of his life was working the land.  He and Ocie always had a very large garden that they shared with many.  He was a member of the Bethel Church of the Nazarene.
     Herbert is survived by his wife, Ocie M. Bromagem, Nampa; son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Fay Bromagem, Hillsboro, OR; three grandchildren, David and Sherri Bromagem, Forest Grove, OR, Suzanne and Loren Blanchard, Hillsboro, OR and Shannon and Adam Reynolds, North Plains, OR; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Myrtle Save, Bartelsville, OK.
     Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel on Wednesday from 2 to 8 p.m.
