Henry Butler

      Memorial services for Henry E. Butler, 90, of Caldwell, who died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 1991, at the Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 2, at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  the Rev. Ray Thompson of the United Methodist Church, Caldwell, will officiate with Lodge rites by IOOF, Caldwell.  Private inurnment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell
      Mr. Butler was born Sept. 1, 1901, at Pine Lake
, Minn.  He married Ellen Bergstrom April 2, 1930, at Duluth, Minn., and they resided in Minnesota until 1942 when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy.  The family moved to Caldwell in 1946 where he was employed by the Golden Rule Stores, managing their appliance repair shop.  In 1948 Henry established Butler Appliance Service and operated this business until retirement in 1968.
     He had been a member of the United
Methodist Church, Caldwell, since 1953.  He was also a member of IOOF, Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge No. 39 and the American Legion.
     Survivors include his wife Ellen of Caldwell: a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and Ernie Knapp of Boise; and three sisters, Myrtle Tomlin of Caldwell, Olive Stevenson of Winterhaven, Fla.., and Agnes Martin of London, Ontario, Canada.
     The family suggests memorials be made in Henry’s name to the United Methodist Church of Caldwell or to a favorite charity.
