Herman Baune

    Rosary devotions for Herman Baune, 82, Nampa, who died Saturday, Feb. 2, in a Nampa nursing home, will be recited at 8 p.m. Friday at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Paul's Catholic Church with the Rev. Merle J. Fisher, S.M., as celebrant. Interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Nampa.
    Mr. Baune, was born July 13, 1902, at Kalispell, Mont., a son of Antone and Katherine Doser Baune, and was reared and attended school at Kalispell.  He married Elizabeth (Alice) Schaeffer on Jan. 8, 1934, at Cottonwood where they lived until moving to Nampa in 1939 to a farm where the present sugar factory is located.  Upon the purchase by Amalgamated Sugar Company of the farm, he moved to a farm on Star Road and Cherry Lane where he resided until retiring in 1972.  He then moved into Nampa and resided at the Imogene's Apartments and later at Valley Plaza Retirement Center.
    He was a member of St, Paul's Catholic Church.  
    He is survived by a son, James Baune of Nampa; a granddaughter, Donna (Mrs. Keith) Eibel of Lebanon, Ore.; two sisters, Kathryn Gehring of Cottonwood and Marie Glubrecht of Spokane, Wash.
    He was preceded in death by his wife, a daughter, two brothers, two sisters and a grandson.
    Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Catholic Church; the Hospice Program, c/o Mercy Medical Center of Nampa; or flowers may be sent.
    Friends hay call until 9 tonight, Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and Saturday until 10:30 a.m. at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
