Iris Bass

    Services for Iris M. Bass, 80, of Cashmere, Wash., and formerly of Nampa, who died Friday, March 13, in a Wenatchee, Wash., hospital, will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa.
     The Rev. Harold Thon, associate pastor of the Karcher Church of the Nazarene, will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens,
     Mrs. Bass was born May 20, 1906, in Mutual, Okla.  She attended school at South Haven,
     She married George L. Bass June 29, 1924, at Red Rock, Okla.  They moved to Reynolds Creek, where they farmed for 31 years.  In 1962 they retired and moved to Nampa.
     Following his death in 1971, she continued to make her home in Nampa until two years ago when she moved to Cashmere
to live near her daughter.
     She was a member of the Karcher Church of the Nazarene, Nampa.
     She is survived by a daughter, Colleen (Mrs. Howard) Steinburg of Cashmere; a son, George Lynn Bass, Jr. of Houston, Texas; two sisters, Beulah Hellstern and Ruth Ubelaker, both of South Haven; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

     Friends may call at the Nampa Alsip chapel Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m
