Juanita Hume Dines,
91, of Homedale, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 1995, in a Homedale
nursing home. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11
a.m. Monday, Oct. 9, 1995, in the Wilder Cemetery with the
Rev. Everett Berry officiating. Services are under the
direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Mrs. Dines was born Dec. 30, 1903, in Teton, Fremont
County, to Enoch and Eliza Purser Ashcraft. She moved with
her family to the Ten Davis Community near Parma and later to
She married Marshall Hume Oct. 7, 1927, in Wilder. They
farmed near Wilder until moving into town in the mid-1970's.
Mr. Hume died in May of 1980.
She later married George Dines in Sept. of 1984. They
lived in Marsing until her health began to fail, and she moved
to a care center in Homedale. Mr. Dines died Oct. 11, 1988.
She was a member of the Golden Gate Baptist Church in
Wilder. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Leona and
Garth Simmons of Nampa; two sons and daughters-in-law Charles
and Donna Hume of Boise and Jerry and Marilyn Hume of Vale,
Ore.; three brothers, Wayland Ashcraft of Bakersfield, Calif
., Rex Ashcraft of Nampa and Eugene Ashcraft of Seattle,
Wash.; 13 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, two brothers
and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell from
noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
