Mrs. Joanna Thurston, 63, is Laid at Rest Here Saturday Afternoon
Mrs. Joanna Thurston, 63, wife
of W. S. Thurston, was laid at rest Saturday afternoon in the Canyon
Hill cemetery. Funeral services were held at the Christian
church with the Rev. R. N. Olson officiating.
Mrs. Thurston died at her home in Caldwell Thursday
night following a prolonged illness. She is survived by her
husband; one son, Allie Burke of Jerome; two daughters, Mrs. Ivan
Cole of Bly, Ore., and Mrs. Mabel Wakefield of Sultan, Wash; three
step children, Charles Thurston of Caldwell, Earl Thurston of
Huntington, Ore., and Mrs. Nellie Thornton of Los Angeles; two
sisters, Mrs. Jane Haddenham of Opal, Wyo., and Mrs. Elzina Dean of
Huntington, Ore;, and seven brother, Albert Miller of Arock, Ore.,
Reuben Miller of Boise, Gilbert Miller of Cherry Creek, Nev., John
Miller of Wyoming, Sim Miller of Casper, Wyo., Charlie Miller of
Canada, and Willard Miller of Washington.
Mrs. Thurston was born April 14, 1869, in Pennsylvania.
She was a member of the Christian church.
