James M. Tucker
James Monroe Tucker,
70, of Wilder, a farmer, died Thursday night in a Caldwell
Mr. Tucker was born Dec. 31, 1888, in DeWitt county,
Ill,. and was reared in Illinois. He married Effie
Allison Dec. 16, 1908, in Illinois, and they moved to Kokomo,
Ind., in 1930. They moved to Lake City, Iowa, in 1933
and later to Caldwell. They went to Fortuna, Calif., in
1947 and moved to Wilder in 1956. He was married May 2,
1959, to Nellie Baldwin.
In addition to Mrs. Tucker, he is survived by three
sons, James F. of Phoenix, Ariz., Charles W. of San Rafael,
Calif., and H. Deane Tucker of Caldwell; three
daughters, Mrs. Jessie Clutter of Farnhamville, Iowa, and Mrs.
Mary Roark and Mrs. Joan Bieber, both of Caldwell; two
brother, Jake Tucker of Clinton, Ill., and Willard Tucker of
Rockwell City, Iowa; and 14 grandchildren and three
Services will be conducted at the Peckham-Dakan-Davis
chapel Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. The Rev. E. Rhon will
officiate. Interment will be at Canyon Hill.
