Dies in Parma
James Potter Wellbourn
passed away at his home in Parma yesterday evening. He
was born in Yorkshire, England, on July 24, 1865, and came to
the United States at the age of 17. He was naturalized
at the age of 21 and lived for several years with his parents
in North Dakota before moving to Parma, where he has lived for
the last 41 years.
Survivors are his wife, Alice Wellbourne, of Parma;
four daughters, Blanche R. Sabin of Wenatchee, Wash.; Beulah
Sabin of Wilder, Olive C. Birth of Salem, Ore., and Jessie M.
Ford of Parma; two sons, Robert H. Wellbourn and Richard W.
Wellbourn of Parma, and nine grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, at
the Community church in Parma, under the direction of Rev.
Fred Hall and Rev. Jackson. Interment will be at the
