John Thomas Brumfield

     Graveside services for John Thomas “Tom” Brumfield, 75, 1021 N. 9th Street, Caldwell, died Thursday, January 13, at a Caldwell hospital of natural causes will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, January 17, at the Hillcrest Memorial gardens by Cameron Gepner of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, Caldwell under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
     He was born April 6, 1907 at Hercules, Mo.  He moved to Buhl, in 1921 and then to Adrian, Ore.  He homesteaded at Parma for a number of years.  He worked at Unity,
Ore. as a logger for seven years before returning to Fruitland to farm.  He later moved to northern Idaho and he went to work for the Sunshine Mining Company, where he retired in 1970 after 15 years.  He was a member of the Steel Workers Union Local 5089.
     He is survived by two sons, Claude of Caldwell and Jack of Eugene, Ore.; one sister, Margaret of Ironside
, Ore.; two brothers, Clyde of Forsythe, Mont. and Jack of New Plymouth; five grandchildren.
     Friends may call at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell today from 6 to 9 p.m.
