John T. Gant

    Graveside services for John T. Gant, 74, of Nampa Route 3, who died Monday, April 19, at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell, by the Rev. Joseph Housh, First United Methodist Church, Nampa, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa.
    He was born Nov. 18, 1908, in Waldwick Township, Iowa County, Wis., the youngest son of John R. and Elizabeth Ann Ferrell Gant. He was reared and educated there, graduating from Dodgeville High Scholl in 1929. He married Louise Lytle, May 3, 1930, at Rockford, Ill., and they made their home in Wisconsin and farmed from1946 until retiring in 1969 after which they traveled throughout the U.S. and Canada until moving to Nampa in 1978. He was a member of the Court Street Methodist Church and a life member of the American Aberdeen Angus Associatio.
    He is survived by his wife of Nampa; one son, John R. Gant, Namp; and several nieces and cousins.
    His parents and two brothers preceded him in death.
    Memorials may be made to the Cancer Society, a favorite charity, or flowers may be sent.
    Friends may call at the Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa today until 9 p.m., Thursday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday until noon, and may meet at the cemetery for services.
