Graveside services for James
“Ike” Elledge, 81, of Nampa, who died on Nov. 8 at home, will
be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens,
Caldwell.
Pastor Jerry W. White of First
Church of the Nazarene,
Nampa, will officiate, under the direction of Flahiff Funeral
Chapel, Nampa.
Mr. Elledge was born Feb. 18, 1906
at Indian Valley, Idaho to Isaac N. and Callie Cornett Elledge.
He was reared and educated there.
He farmed in Indian
Valley until 1948 when
he moved to Tonasket,
Wash., where he owned
and operated an orchard for seven years. He moved to Nampa in
1955 and worked for the Boise
National Forest until
1966. He bought a home and farm on Lake Shore Drive in 1962.
He married Thelma Howe Pickering Nov. 30, 1962 at Oroville, Wash. and
they lived on Lake Shore Drive.
He was employed by the Nampa Highway District from 1964
until his retirement in 1972.
He is survived by his wife of Nampa; a stepson, Gale E.
Pickering of Wenatchee, Wash.; three step-daughters, Glenda
Blank of Republic, Wash.; Debbie Robbins and Sharon Pickering,
both of Nampa; a sister, May Nyhart of Nampa; 10
grandchildren; three great-grand-children, and several nieces
and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and four
sisters.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity or flowers
may be sent. |
