Jim Vernon Cox
WENDELL -- Jim Vernon Cox, 78, of
Wendell, died Sunday, May 13, 1990, in a Jerome hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, may 16, at
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell. Arrangements are under
direction of the Hove-Robertson Funeral Chapel, Jerome. No
viewing is planned.
Mr. Cox was born Nov. 13, 1911 at Boise, a son of Walter and Pearl
Cox. He was raised and educated in the Treasure Valley. He
married Lucille Cole on April 9, 1935, at Caldwell. He farmed
in the Deer Flat area until 1969. They then moved to Hagerman
where he worked at Moore Egg Farm. He retired in 1976 and
moved to Wendell, where he had since resided.
Survivors include his wife of Wendell; two sons, Vern Cox of Boise
and Lee Cox of Spokane, Wash.; four daughters, Rita Copenhaver
of Nampa, Janet Pendleton of Caldwell, Debbie Livesay of Nampa
and Gail Jackson of Twin Falls; two sisters, Dorothy Taggart
of Nampa and Ruth Krueger of Cayucos, Calif.; 17
grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in
death by his parents and a sister.
