Lorene Booth

Lorene Beatrice Canfield Booth, 76, of Boise, died Saturday, April 5, 1997, at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma.  Burial will follow at Parma Cemetery.
Lorene was born November 8, 1920, in Mountain View, Idaho, near Roy, Idaho.  She was the daughter of John Wesley and Mary Jane Malcolm Canfield.  She attended school in Fairview and American Falls, graduating from American Falls High School in 1938.  She attended Idaho State University and received a teaching certificate.  Lorene taught in several locations in southern Idaho before moving to Parma where she taught for many years.  In 1949 she met and married Leonard Booth and together raised four daughters.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Booth;  3 daughters, Marva Booth Kelley, Janice Booth McKie and Joni Booth, and 2 granddaughters, Hayley and Allyson McKie, all of Boise;  3 brothers, John Canfield of Pocatello, Lewis Canfield of Rupert, and Joe Canfield of American Falls.  a sister, Margaret McBride of Arco;  and many special and beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.
We can't imagine anyone more lively and fun to be with.  We can't imagine a teacher who reached more children or cared more about them.  We can' imagine a grandmother who treasured her grandchildren more.  We can't imagine a better wife and mother.  We love you and we'll miss you.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Carl and Archie;  her parents, John and Mary;  a sister, Hazel Littlefield;  and daughter, Jolene Kaye Booth.  Friends may call on Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Parma.
The family suggests that Memorials be made to the Jolene Kaye Booth Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o First Security Bank, 202 Grove St., Parma, Idaho 83660.
