CALDWELL - Services for Lillian G. Chipman, 84, Caldwell Route
1, who died Sunday at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted
at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.
Officiating will be the Rev. Wendel Brandon of the
Middleton First Baptist Church. Interment will be at
Middleton Cemetery.
She was born on April 30, 1890, in Afton, Iowa, and
married R. Lee Chipman in Creston, Iowa, in 1909. The
couple moved to Boise in 1910 and homesteaded five miles east
of Boise. They later moved to Canyon Creek, north of
Mountain Home, where they farmed until returning to Boise in
1923. They owned and operated the former Chesapeake Cafe
in Boise until 1946. They had move to Middleton in 1960.
Surviving are her husband, of Caldwell; two daughters,
Mrs. Grover A Marlatt and Mrs. George Butler, both of
Middleton; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, four brothers and two
sisters. |
