Lucile H. Blades, 75,
of Nampa, died Tuesday, June 14, 1994, at the Nampa hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, June 17,
1994, at the Alsip Funeral Chapel, Nampa. Rev. Dan
Wilson-Fey, pastor of the Nampa Southside Boulevard United
Methodist Church will officiate. Interment will follow
in the Melba Cemetery.
Lucile H. Blades was born on June 8, 1919, at Boise, to
Miller and Florence Wolfe Hendelider. At a young age she
moved to the Bennett Community near Nampa with her family.
She was reared and educated in Nampa. She married Burton
Blades on September 2, 1941 in Bowmont, Idaho, and they have
been married for 52 years. They farmed in the Scism area
for 33 years. They retired in 1976 and moved to Nampa
where they have since resided. She was a member of the
Nampa Southside Boulevard United Methodist Church, the Nampa
Valley Grange #131, the Canyon County Pomona Grange, the Idaho
State Grange, the Owyhee Gem and Mineral Society and the
Bennett Community Club.
Lucile enjoyed crocheting, sewing, rock hunting,
walking in the hills, family holidays, friends and playing
games with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Burton of Nampa; 1 son
and daughter-in-law, Gary and Artricia Blades, Nampa; 1
daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Brent Shahan, Bakersfield,
California; sister, Marie Douglas, Nampa; 5 grandchildren; and
7 great-grandchildren. |
