Luther H. Ellison, 85, of Caldwell died Saturday, July 29,
1995 at a Caldwell nursing home of natural causes.
Funeral services will be concluded at 2 p.m. Tuesday,
August 1, 1995 at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. Rev. Don
Hardenbrook of the Oregon Trail Church of God will officiate.
Burial will follow at the Wilder Cemetery.
Mr. Ellison was born in Douglas County, MO., where he was
reared and educated. He was the son of Johnnie and Orpha
Roller Ellison. Luther married Verne Johnson on December 21,
1929 in Ava, Missouri where they resided for a short while
before moving to Springfield, Missouri. In 1944 they moved to
Wilder and in 1959 moved to Caldwell where they have since
resided. Luther drove trucks for Simplot, retiring in 1972
after 21 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and his greatest
joy after his retirement was to meet his friends at M & W for
coffee.
He is survived by his wife, Verne; two sons, Bob and his
wife, Gunda Ellison of Boise, Don and his wife, Rose Ellison
of Bothell, Washington; three daughters, Georgia Wylie of
Caldwell, Wanda and her husband, LeRoy Kuck of Boise, Norma
and her husband, David Cornelison of Caldwell; one brother,
Everett and Dorothy Ellison of Nampa; two sisters, Goldie and
Ray Linville of Caldwell, Ruby and Floyd Ross of Pamona,
California; 15 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and
numerous nieces and nephews. Luther was preceded in death
by his parents, a son, and a sister.

Funeral Chapel, Caldwell. |
