Lois V. Blunt

     CALDWELL - Services for Mrs. Lois V. Blunt, 79, of 1501 S. Kimball, who died Friday at a Caldwell hospital, will be conducted at 3:30 p.m. Monday at the Dakan Chapel in Caldwell.  The Rev. Robert Reed of Boone Memorial Presbyterian Church will officiate and interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
     She was born March 12, 1889, in New Westminster, B. C., Canada.  She grew up at Baker, Ore., where she attended schools and practiced nursing.  She moved to Caldwell in 1923.  She was married to Floyd Blunt Aug. 13, 1937, in Caldwell.
     She nursed in the old Memorial Park Hospital and in the new Caldwell Memorial Hospital for many years.  She was one of the first Licensed Practical Nurses graduated from the Caldwell hospital.  She was a member of the Neighbors of Woodcraft where she was clerk for 21 years; a member of the JAM Club and the Licensed Practical Nurse's Association of Caldwell.
     Among survivors are her husband; two sons, Frank Selders of The Dalles Ore., and Harold Selders of Fresno, Calif.; a daughter, Mrs. Ida Pentz of Bremerton, Wash.; a step-son, Wendell Blunt of Pittsburgh, Pa.; a step-daughter, Floydean Manglesen of Caldwell; two sisters, Mrs. Zora Conn of Jewel, Ore., and Mrs. Ida Osborn of Napa, Calif; 15 grandchildren and nine greatgrandchildren.
     A son, Leslie (Buck) Selders, preceded her in death.
