Services for Logan Raymond Davis, 71, of 1912 Willow
Street, Caldwell, who died Tuesday, May 1, in a Nampa nursing
home, will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Friday at Flahiff Funeral
Chapel of Nampa.
The Rev. Merle J. Fisher, S.M., of St. Paul's Catholic
Church, Nampa, will officiate. Interment will follow at
Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
Mr. Davis was born Aug. 27, 1912, at North Platte, Neb.,
to Alvin E. and Martha S. Hill Davis, and was reared and
educated in Nebraska. He moved to Wyoming and farmed and
later lived and farmed in Colorado. He moved to Idaho in 1944
and farmed in the Homedale and Black Canyon areas. He moved
to Caldwell in 1956 and was employed by the Dairymen's Cremery
until his retirement.
He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Caldwell,
Caldwell Lodge No. 1448, B.P.O.E., and was an avid hunter and
fisherman.
He is survived by two daughters, Laura Evans, Milwaukie,
Ore., Ruth Anne Hobbs, Lake Oswego, Ore.; two brothers, H.S.
Davis and Jim Davis, both of Fruitland; two sisters, Vivian
Christensen, Paso Robles, Calif., and Margaret Davis, Las
Vegas, Nev.; three grandsons, two great-grandchildren and
several nieces and nephews. His parents, one daughter, two
brothers and two sisters preceded him in death.
Friends may call at Flahiff Funeral Chapel of Nampa
until 9 tonight and prior to services on Friday.
Memorials may be made to the Idaho Youth Ranch, Rupert;
to a favorite charity; or flowers may be sent. |
