Merle K. Bloyd, 77, of
Homedale, died Friday, June 8, 1990, at a Boise hospital of
natural causes. Graveside services will be conducted at
2 p.m. Monday, June 11, at the Parma Cemetery. Pastor
Leon M. Cornforth of the Boise Seventh Day Adventist Church
will officiate under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel,
Caldwell. Family and friends are asked to gather at the
cemetery.
Mr. Bloyd was born Aug. 1, 1912, at Carlton, Colo., the
son of Charles and Hattie Smith Bloyd. He came to Idaho
in his early teens with his family, settling in the Parma
area. He married Pearl Klahr April 28, 1934, in Boise.
They resided in the Parma-Roswell area until moving to
Homedale in 1937 where they had since resided. Mrs.
Bloyd died Aug. 5, 1982.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jean and
Joe Gross of Meridian; a grandson, Kelly Gross of Portland,
Ore.; a sister, Nona Tucker of Homedale; a brother, Max Bloyd
of Wilder; and numerous nieces and nephews. |
