Services for Mrs. Mary L. "Linnie" Cornelison, 82, of Nampa,
who died Tuesday, Sept. 11, in a Nampa hospital, will be
conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Alsip Funeral Chapel,
Nampa.
The Rev. William E. Schleifer, pastor of the Purple
Sage Baptist Church in Caldwell, will officiate.
Entombment will follow in the Building of Reverence, Hillcrest
Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Cornelison was born Sept. 12, 1901, in Webster
County, Mo., to Walter and Lucenda Hargis. She was
reared and educated in Webster County. She married
George W. Cornelison Jan 25, 1920, in Fordland, Mo., and they
framed there.
They moved to Idaho and farmed in the Lake Lowell area
near Nampa in 1944. They later moved into Nampa where
they made their home. She worked for Simplots and
Birdseye for several years. Mr. Cornelison died March 8,
1984.
She was a member of the Baptist Church in Missouri.
She is survived by three sons, Vernon of Caldwell,
George of Anderson, Calif., and Bill of Nampa; two daughters,
Mrs. Don (Christeen) Price, Nampa, and Mrs. Andy (Betty)
Harris, Nampa; two brothers, Dewey Hargis, Clinton, Mo., and
Kenneth Hargis, Mansfield, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and eight
great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers.
Memorial contributions may be made to a favorite
charity, or flowers may be sent.
Friends may call at the Alsip Funeral Chapel until 9
tonight, and Friday from 8 to 9:30 a.m. |
