Meta Becker

Meta M. Becker, 93, of Caldwell, died Sunday, November 24, 1991, at a Caldwell nursing home of natural causes.  Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Friday, November 29, 1991, at the Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.  Rev. David C. Quail of the Grace Lutheran Church, Caldwell, will officiate with burial following at the Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
    Mrs. Becker was born August 22, 1898, at St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Gustav and Henrietta Stoffel. She was the youngest of six girls. As a young child she moved with her family to Belleville, Illinois, where she was raised and educated She married Henry P. Becker January 6, 1923, at Belleville.  Together they moved to Idaho in 1950, settling in Caldwell. Mr. Becker died July 14, 1964.  She taught at the Kiddie Coop Kindergarten for several years.  
    She was a very active member of the Senior Citizen's Center in Caldwell. She contributed a great deal of volunteer work at the center until she was no longer physically capable. She was also a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, Caldwell.
    Survivors include: a son and daughter-in-law, Henry A. "Bud" and Bonnie Becker of Caldwell; a daughter, Jean E. Brack of Boise; a grandson, Lee, and his wife Shelly Celmer of Caldwell, 3 granddaughters, Donna J. and her husband, Jack Hemby of New Mexico, Cindy L. and her husband, Ed Jenkins of Parma, Kathy A. and her husband, Doug Kackley of Bend, Oregon; l0 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
