Mendel R. Falen

    CALDWELL - Services for Mendel Ray Falen, 58, Caldwell Route  4, who died Thursday at his home, will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, by the Rev. Davis Smith. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
    He was born on Oct. 22, 1915, in Sheaville, Ore.  He attended school at Dixie, Idaho, and went to Links Business College in Boise for a short time.  With his father he ran a cattle ranch in Jordan Valle, Ore.
    He married Naida Cheesbrough on June 10, 1942, in Caldwell.  They ranched in Jordan Valley for 12 years and moved to a farm at Lakeview in Canyon County in 1954, where he had lived for the past 20 years.
    Survivors are his wife; a daughter, Sherran Davis, Auburn, Wash.; a sister, Laura Munna, Brentwood, N.Y.; and three brothers, Leslie Falen, Cliffs, Idaho, Charles, Marsing, and Ernest Falen, Caldwell.
